Strict Status is a Scottish lass producing drum n bass and has been introduced on BBC Introducing Manchester. She is a pro session drummer/percussionist and vocalist featuring in her own tracks. Now living in Manchester, she has spent the last decade successfully involved in heavy metal, pop, hip hop and electronica. Throughout this time she has continually followed her passion for drum n bass.

She began making computer music aged 12 on a rickety unstable computer only capable of backing up onto floppy disks. This interest became more serious as she completed her music degree (LIPA). During this time an interest in being a DJ grew and she found drum n bass. However not content with playing other peoples records she swayed more towards drum n bass production.

Having now made this music it made sense for her skills as a musician to venture into Strict Status LIVE. This is still in development stages at present.

Past experience has seen her tour with her live improvised drum n bass outfit ‘The Broken Door’ in both the UK and Europe supporting the likes of Future Prophecies, Aquasky and Killa Kela. She has played on full scale production tours as a session drummer supporting the likes of The Fun Loving Criminals and Wizard and has sessioned on a No. 1 platinum selling hit album and sessioned for metal bands appearing on Metal Hammer magazine.
